Don the Archer

As part of his mid-life crisis, Don took up a couple of his high school hobbies after a 30 year lay off. One was playing the trumpet (he has played in the LCB jazz ensemble and the TCC Community symphonic band). The other HS hobby was archery. He is currently on the Board of Directors of both Skookum Archers (Secretary), and the Washington State Archery Association (WSAA) as the Public Relations Director. For 7 years, Don produced an 8 page newsletter for Skookum Archers. Don took this photo to include in his final edition. Don has won a couple of state titles for his division (he isn't that good but doesn't always have a lot of competition among the old farts in his class). He placed 2nd in the Marked 3-D Nationals in 2006.

what a great ending to the project! I like the picture of you--I'm sure they did too! PS- Who did they ever find to replace such a great newsletter guy???

Skookum was lucky to have you. We all remember putting labels and stamps on those newsletters! I'm glad you have a fun hobby that you're good at. It seems my latest hobby is changing poopy diapers ...
